Dame Barbara Windsor is an actor best known for a string of much-loved roles in the Carry On films during the 1960s and 70s, and in EastEnders during the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. Born Barbara Deeks in Stepney, East London, she made her stage debut at age 13 and has enjoyed a long career in film, television, stage and on the radio, primarily in comic roles but also enjoying a number of prominent dramatic castings.
