The Iceman: The Final Block review

The Iceman is surely the act most widely cited to illustrated the weird and wonderful state of the fertile post-punk alternative cabaret circuit which birthed the modern stand-up scene.

The final performance by The Iceman shows the impermanence of existence

Last night, I witnessed what was allegedly the last ever performance by legendary act The Iceman. It had not been billed in advance as his final performance, but there was a sense of anticipation before the show started.

The Iceman to perform again for new documentary

The Iceman - a legendary figure from the early days of alternative comedy - is to recreate his notoriously bizarre act once more. For a second year, The Iceman / AIM's to make an exhibition of himself...

The AIM of The Iceman's artifICE...

Performance art act The Iceman aka Anthony Irvine has cropped up in this blog over the years, including his pure art incarnation as AIM. Last year, I blogged about AIM's month-long art exhibition residency at the Guggleton Farm Arts centre in Dorset. Now, blow me down, AIM - or it might be The Iceman or it might be Anthony or it might be all three - is/are back there for another month-long exhibition/residency, 12th July-10th August.

Is The Iceman's upcoming movie MELT IT! a documentary or a piece of Art...?

The documentary is co-produced by Robert Wringham and director Mark Cartwright. I talked to Robert and Anthony via Zoom... Mark was elsewhere, possibly in Wolverhampton.
