Anna's comedy-horror feature screenplay, Social Function, is in pre-production with Simon Egan, the producer of the award-winning film The King's Speech.
She graduated the ScreenSkills accredited MA Screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland in October 2019. Her sitcom pilot, Winning at Life, achieved second place in the British Comedy Guide's pro-script challenge in February 2020 - just in time for lockdown and the production standstill.
Whilst sulking, Anna undertook every comedy course promoted by BCG Pro over lockdown. In January 2021, she received a scholarship from Rocaberti to develop Social Function at a chateau in the Dordogne in 2022. This was delayed for over a year because of Covid restrictions in France. Anna gnashed her teeth and took on various shit jobs to make a small dent in the mounting debts she'd accrued in following her writing dreams. These included cleaning toilets. Such glamour.
Finally, in 2023, Anna made it to the chateau in the Dordogne, going hungry and being threatened by a suddenly psychotic taxi driver along the way. At the Rocaberti retreat at the chateau, she met her agent, her producer, and a potential director for Social Function.
But she still has no actual writing credits yet, so hopes to get the opportunity here, and is prepared to grovel and work extra hard if this means not cleaning toilets.
