Amanda started her career creating jingles for radio before moving on to write and produce short films with National Lottery funding. Notable achievements include winning the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing for Children in 2015 for 'Hex Tecs' and as a finalist in Idris Elba's 'Write to Green Light' initiative in 2016. She's also self-published a children's illustrated book, 'Mr. Gum's Choppers,' and worked as a lecturer specializing in screenwriting for children at UCLAN. She's since co-written the award-winning feature 'Introspectum Motel', acclaimed short 'Lead Belly, ' starring Jamie Lomas and was a finalist for the Lancaster Playwriting Prize in 2020 with 'For One Night Only.' In 2023 she was made a BAFTA Connect member and reached the semi-finals of the UKTV/Female Pilot Club's 2024 comedy competition.
