Interview: Alex Smith

It's a great feeling getting to come and see comedians at the fringe festival but even better when one gets to witness their fringe debut. Alex Smith joins an impressive line-up of up and coming comedians who have certainly been building impressive names for themselves on the circuit.

The Alex Smith three minute interview

Alex Smith's mix of laser sharp observations and cleverly crafted comedy songs have helped him rapidly climb the stand-up circuit ladder. Martin Walker asks what he's up to this year at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Russell Kane returns for a third outing of the series filmed in front of a live audience at the fictitious venue. Once again, his stand-up is interspersed with sketches and films from up-and-coming acts, with Totally Tom returning as the inappropriate backstage crew, and Joe Wilkinson and Diane Morgan launching an unusual anti-smoking product. There are new additions, too, as selected via an open call. Luke McQueen stands out with his attempts to woo his ex with battle rap and James Blunt-alike Alex Smith serenades Middle England.
