Radio Times review
The show moves to BBC Two, where Alan Carr kicks off about "people who've got too much to say for themselves... always got an opinion". So I'll say nothing about his warm-up routine on Trip Advisor, skin disorders, school photos and Jack the Ripper walks. But if the comedy doesn't work out, Alan, you'd make a great tourist guide.
First on is Francesca Martinez who uses her cerebral palsy (or wobbliness as she calls it) for both laughs and political point scoring. Finally Nish Kumar does a scorching riff on the lack of right-wing comedians and left-wing action movies, before ripping into the political incorrectness of board games.
Jane Rackham, Radio Times, 4th November 2015Review: Alan Carr's Yap Yap Yap!
A shade shorter and a tad tighter and Alan Carr's show at Cardiff's St David's Hall could have really sparkled.
Ciaran Jones, Wales Online, 16th October 2015Review: Alan Carr, touring
Alan Carr has titled his latest live show Yap, Yap, Yap! Because, he says as the show opens, everyone has too much to say these days, much of it - such as the stuff on Twitter - not worth listening to. Coming from the host of Channel 4 chatshow Chatty Man, that's comically rich. But such is Carr's genuine likeability that the audience overlook that and settle in to enjoy the evening. I wish I could say I enjoyed it as much as they did.
Veronica Lee, The Arts Desk, 1st October 2015The warm-up men and women: who do big names rely on?
Alan Carr and Graham Norton won't crack a joke without them - so what does it take to be a top warm-up act? Gerard Gilbert joins the live studio audience to find out.
Gerard Gilbert, The Independent, 30th August 2015Alan Carr interview
"With arena shows, the material doesn't evolve. You don't want to take the gamble of trying out new stuff in front of 12,000 people."
Roz Laws, Belfast Live, 19th August 2015Woman spends 230 hours knitting Alan Carr portrait
A talented knitter has spoken of her "thrill" at seeing comedian Alan Carr share the work of art she gave him with a packed out gig audience.
Sarah Walker, The Mirror, 4th August 2015Colston Hall comedy review: Alan Carr
A fantastic night of comedy from a man with endless charisma and confidence.
Josh Coulson, Guide2Bristol, 28th July 2015Review: Alan Carr: Yap, Yap, Yap!
If you have the chance to go see this incredibly funny man, I would highly recommend it.
Joe Pickard, The York Press, 13th July 2015Radio Times review
The sixth year of Channel 4's admirable fundraising drive for Great Ormond Street Hospital. If you're an avid and knowledgeable fan of any of these acts, this might not be the best environment in which to see them, since there are an awful lot to get through. But to take the temperature of live comedy right now and see who's at the top of their game or on the up, it's ideal.
The really big names are led by Alan Carr, Michael McIntyre and Jack Dee, with Aisling Bea, Sara Pascoe and Katherine Ryan among the others to look out for. Also on the bill is sharp, politically astute South African stand-up Trevor Noah, getting in a UK gig while he can before he takes over the hallowed Daily Show in the US.
Jack Seale, Radio Times, 7th June 2015Review: Alan Carr
A few more tweaks and improvements and Yap, Yap, Yap! really will have them rolling in the aisles.
