Ahir Shah is an English politician comedian known for his sharp, intellectual wit. Twice-nominated for 'Best Show' at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, with numerous live shows to his name, he makes regular appearances on topical comedy shows such as The Now Show, Have I Got News For You, and The Mash Report.

A finalist in the 2008 So You Think You're Funny? competition for new acts, Ahir Shah is a Politics, Psychology and Sociology graduate from the University of Cambridge, known for blending a mordant, intellectual brand of humour with a bracing and committed political focus.

A sufferer from depression who talks openly about his illness, he hones a searingly personal style of live comedy, which blends philosophy, faith, and challenging observations about the state of modern society.

His live shows include Astrology (2011), Anatomy (2013), Texture (2014), Distant (2015), Machines (2016), Control (2017), and DUFFER (2018). His latest show is Ahir Shah: Dots. He has been nominated twice for 'Best Show' at the Edinburgh festival.

Known for his crisp, biting topical satire, Shah has made regular appearances on Breaking The News, Frankie Boyle's New World Order, Life Lessons (on its special "When Your In-Laws Voted Brexit"), Newsjack, The Now Show, and The Mash Report, on which he has a regular slot lampooning the week's news.

Shah has also performed live stand-up on Live At The Apollo and Stand Up Central, as well as numerous festivals across the UK.
