Background
Virtual Insanity was an idea conceived on the 4th January 2021, and by the 10th the first episode was written and filming was underway. The plan was to keep kids engaged and entertained during a dark period of lockdown, to give them a experience that will help them excel in their future endeavours, and to raise money for NHS Charities and Theatre Support.
With lockdown putting a halt to many productions, writer and Ethan J. Greene thought it would be a good idea to shape a project that can be done virtually and keep young minds active and creative. The kids within the show come from all over the country and have either been cast in an upcoming feature film that Ethan is involved in or are children he has personally taught drama to over the years. Some of the kids within the show have been involved in feature films, short films, music videos and West End stage productions, such as School Of Rock and Matilda.
A group of the kids also got involved in the writing of the episodes. The episodes were written on a Wednesday, ahead of a four hour slot for filming on a Sunday.
