Swings & Roundabouts

Eric was always the child that nobody liked. He never knew why, it was just the way things were. Now, everything has changed...

Creator Peter Mckeirnon says: "The idea for Swings & Roundabouts came from wanting to challenge peoples pre-conceptions and a burning desire to play with dead people in a kid's park. That last bit isn't true. Well.... Maybe a little bit!

"As a production company, we (Slumberjack Entertainment) wanted to make a short on a low budget with limited equipment to show what can be done when people pull together. The budget for Swings & Roundabouts was £300, filmed over 4 hours on an early UK summer morning (before kids came to use the park) and everyone involved volunteered. From John who played Eric, Ian who voiced him and the many 'dead' he plays with. Everyone gave up their time for free and all make up, to keep costs down, was self applied."
