Jack Whitehall films his tour Settle Down for Netflix special
- Jack Whitehall has recorded his current tour, Settle Down, as a Netflix stand-up special
- The comic's third special for the streaming platform, it was recorded over three nights at the O2 Arena in London earlier this month
- However, Netflix will not be making Jack's Pub, a planned documentary about Whitehall opening a Notting Hill drinking establishment
Jack Whitehall has recorded his Settle Down tour for a Netflix special, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
The comic filmed the stand-up show over three nights at the O2 Arena in London from 14th-16th July. He will resume touring it with two shows at Exeter's Great Hall on 2nd August, ahead of three dates at the Edinburgh Fringe later in the month.
Featuring Whitehall's reflections on imminently becoming a father, being a famous alumnus of his private school as its reputation was dragged through the mire and hanging out in Los Angeles, the show is the first stand-up special to be produced by Whitehall's Jackpot Productions and the third that the comic has shot for Netflix, following 2017's At Large and 2020's I'm Only Joking.
However, BCG understands that the streaming giant has not picked up Jack's Pub for series, after Workerbee (The Real Death In Paradise) took the documentary project to the platform early last year.
The show would have followed Whitehall's investment in a brewer friend's drinking establishment in Notting Hill in London. However, The Quiet Night Inn opened before cameras could start rolling. It is not known whether Whitehall still put money into the venue.
The comic previously made five series of Jack Whitehall's Travels With My Father for Netflix with his father Michael, a retired showbusiness agent, between 2017 and 2021.
