Mo Gilligan to launch stand-up showcase on Audible
- Mo Gilligan's Spotlight, a six-part stand-up podcast series, is coming to Audible on 6th July
- Featuring "under-represented and exceptional talent", the series will include Eddie Kadi, Thanyia Moore and Kae Kurd
- Gilligan says he is "very proud to elevate the broad range of voices who are shaping the future of comedy"
Audible will publish Mo Gilligan's Spotlight, a new six-part stand-up comedy series.
The show, hosted by the triple BAFTA-winning comedian, will feature "some the UK's most exciting comedic voices".
Producers explain: "Recorded at iconic South London venue, Up the Creek Comedy Club, the six-episode series has been specially curated by Mo himself to showcase the currently under-represented and exceptional talent that British comedy has to offer, featuring headline names such as Eddie Kadi, Thanyia Moore and Kae Kurd.
"Cited as 'the funniest man in Britain' [The Times] the multi award winning Mo Gilligan also has a longstanding legacy of championing the UK's most promising new wave stars. In Mo Gilligan's Spotlight, Mo will also bring to the stage up-and-coming talent, with the full line-up to be revealed at the live shows."
The live events are due to be recorded on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th and 29th of March, with the podcast coming exclusively to Audible on 6th July 2023.
As well as the talent taking to the stage, the series has also taken care to elevate a range of diverse voices across the production team, with Mo Gilligan's Spotlight being co-produced by Gilligan's own BAFTA winning production company Momo G and Lucky 17, with Javan Miller as series producer.
