Russell Kane is to present a live magazine, discussion and entertainment show on Facebook's streaming platform, Facebook Live.

The Kaneing Live is based around the stand-up's highly popular weekly Kaneing video 'rants', which are published on his Facebook and YouTube accounts.

The new show, which will be streamed live on Monday 22nd May, is described as "a no-holds-barred style show streamed exclusively on Facebook Live in 100% real time".

Taking place at Facebook's London office in front of a live studio audience, The Kaneing Live will be hosted by Kane and feature Katherine Ryan, journalist Janet Street-Porter and radio presenter James O'Brien as guests.

Although only one episode is currently planned, further episodes will follow if it proves successful.

Producers say: "The Kaneing Live will prise open the week's trending topics by Russell performing three of his trademark 'Kaneing' style stand-up rants during the show and then having it out with his three special guests on the topics just 'Kane'd'.

"Topics will range from the big political stories of the week (e.g. the upcoming General Election), talk radio type moral quandaries (e.g. 'should a mum let her child wear make-up?') and culminating with an irreverent non-serious debate (e.g. Untidy People Vs Tidy People).

"Keeping a tight rein on the studio shenanigans, Russell will also be aided and abetted by his co-host and fourth panel member, TV and radio presenter AJ Odudu. AJ will be on hand to field comments and encourage studio audience and at home Facebook users interaction throughout the show."

Russell Kane himself says: "I'm buzzing like a on a bee on a Berocca to do this groundbreaking show, live from Facebook London HQ. Content-wise, I'm crossing my fingers that Diane Abbott attempts maths during this week. Or that Trump speaks."

Glenn Miller from Facebook adds: "Facebook Live is truly social, and gives fans around the world an authentic and interactive experience when tuning in. The Kaneing Live will give Russell's fans a whole new way to enjoy connecting with their favourite comedian and his work."

The Kaneing Live will be streamed on Monday 22nd May from 9pm via Russell Kane's Facebook page

Here is an example of one of the comedian's Kaneing videos. From February, he addresses the topic of slimming clubs. It has so far been viewed over 2 million times on Facebook.
