The production companies behind the animated version of Mr Bean are planning a Facebook live stream involving the character.
On Wednesday 3rd May 2017 at 3:30pm, the animated character will take to the Facebook Live video platform to interact with those watching.
New capabilities recently released in the Adobe Character Animator software are being used to bring Mr Bean to life. The livestream will feature Mr Bean performing charades with sounds from the recently released Mr Bean Soundboard, as viewers play along.
The producers say: "With seven different charades, and appearances from animated series favourites such as Scrapper the cat, fans watching will be able to enjoy half an hour of interactive fun and games."
Mr Bean is currently broadcast in 195 territories, with 35 million DVDs sold and 18 million app downloads. Earlier this year Mr Bean overtook The Simpsons to become the biggest broadcast entertainment brand on Facebook. In the last week (18 - 24 April 2017), the Facebook page generated over 43 million post engagements and more than 98 million video views, averaging nearly 300 million monthly views across online platforms.
Frances Adams from Endemol Shine Group says: "This is a tremendously exciting project and we can't wait for the Mr Bean fans on Facebook to join in the fun for this innovative new experience. The Mr Bean brand is seeing phenomenal online growth which is testament to the bold and ambitious work of the wonderfully talented teams here at Endemol Shine Group."
