Matt Lucas and David Walliams reunite for Making A Scene podcast
Matt Lucas and David Walliams have revealed their new podcast.
The Little Britain creators have long teased the reunion project and today confirmed Making A Scene, in which they will interview comedian friends such as Stephen Merchant, Jack Whitehall, Rob Brydon, Alan Carr, Andrew Mensah and Richard E. Grant.
Announcing the podcast in a video posted on social media, the pair joked about their supposed cancellation, a reference to the retrospective fallout from them using blackface and racial stereotyping in Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, as well as accusations about Walliams' behaviour when he was a judge on Britain's Got Talent.
Somewhat jarringly, no female guests feature in the teaser clip.
The promo is captioned with: "After 15 years, the legendary comedy duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams are finally reunited - with a brand new podcast... MAKING A SCENE.
"Join them twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (from the 4th February) as they turn the lives of their famous friends into cinematic masterpieces, and tackle YOUR questions - no matter how awkward, bold, or outrageous - in bonus pod You Can't Ask Me That!"
The pair acrimoniously split in 2011 but reunited in 2019 to create a one-off special episode of Little Britain called Little Brexit which was broadcast on Radio 4, where the show started in 2000 before transferring to television.
Lucas is currently piloting a hidden camera prank show for ITV, as revealed by British Comedy Guide last year, while Walliams has previously said that the pair are developing ideas with Netflix and working on a stage show together.
