Channel 4 pilots Nightmare BnB, with comedians frightening off guests
Channel 4 is piloting a hidden camera prank gameshow in which comedians subject guests to a terrible stay in a bed and breakfast, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
Nightmare BnB is a three-part hybrid mockumentary series starring comedians Josh Weller, Lola Jagun and The Cockfields' Ben Rufus Green as they take turns to be the establishment's host, doing everything in their power to make their visitors leave early.
Also featuring stand-up Lenny Sherman as a bailiff and similar to ITV2's 2014 comedy-reality format Bad Bridesmaid, the twist is that one of the guests knows it is a game and must persuade their partner, friend or family member to stay until checkout in order to win.
Written and produced by Ben Spiteri (Bad Robots, Impractical Jokers), Nightmare BnB is directed and executive produced by Daniel Clarke (Dropped) and Guy Davidson (Person On A Chair) for Mother's Best Child (B@it), with episodes launching weekly on Channel 4's social platforms from today.
