Channel 4 is developing a deep fake Keeping Up With The Kardashians spoof, focusing on Vladimir Putin.

Keeping Up With The Kremlin is a 30-minute pastiche of reality shows, being piloted for the channel's digital platforms.

Made by Chalkboard TV (Don't Ask Me Ask Britain) and commissioned by Charlie Hyland, Channel 4's head of digital, BCG understands that Keeping Up With The Kremlin is currently in development but has yet to be officially commissioned.

US entertainment website Deadline broke the news of Keeping Up With The Kremlin's development.

ITVX's Deep Fake Neighbour Wars, which uses a similar mix of actors and deep fake technology, has attracted mixed reviews, with general praise for the visual effects but critics less impressed with the comedy.

BBC Two piloted chat show Tonight With Vladimir Putin in 2019, with a 3D cartoon likeness of the Russian president written and performed by comedian Natt Tapley. Produced by Phil McIntyre Television and creative studio Framestore, it was not picked up for series.
