Josh Jones lands Channel 4 toilet chat show V.I.Pees
Josh Jones is to host his own Channel 4 chat show from a toilet, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
In V.I.Pees, the comic sits in a cubicle, with a celebrity guest sat in the cubicle next door, and tries to guess their identity by asking them 20 questions.
Guests for the Channel 4 digital short form series include Kimberly Wyatt of the Pussycat Dolls, Euro 22-winning England goalkeeper Mary Earps, singer Deno Driz, drag queen A'Whora and viral sensation Jackie Weaver of Handford Parish Council fame.
Set to air on Channel 4's digital platforms before Christmas, the five episodes are made by Rockerdale Studios (Dine Hard With Rosie Jones, Bobby And Harriet Get Married).
Rising star Jones was nominated for best newcomer in this year's Edinburgh Comedy Awards and appears on The Jonathan Ross Show tomorrow night, alongside Katherine Ryan.
He has also just launched the Hard Sell podcast for Dave with Darren Harriott, in which the pair visit fellow comedians' homes, then auction off some of their stuff for charity.
Those visited include Joel Dommett, Ivo Graham, Helen Bauer, Stephen Bailey, Ria Lina, Matthew Crosby, Josh Pugh, Kemah Bob, Dan Tiernan and Ray Badran.
Harriott has called the show "the love child of Cash In the Attic, Antiques Road Show and Through the Keyhole".
While Jones maintained his lavatorial preoccupation, adding: "The best thing is sneaking around celebrities' houses having a nosey through their stuff - I love it. I also had a secret poo in one of the houses, so listen to the podcast to try and hear shame in my voice and figure out which house I left my dignity behind in."
