In this day and age, we are more connected than ever before as a human race. We are at the point where anyone can get in contact with anyone else, anywhere any time. And we are obsessed with our mobile phones. However, just because we have all this technology, we are, in fact, less connected than we've ever been.
Nick Helm argues that having this technology at our fingertips can actually have the reverse affect and leave a person feeling more isolated and lonely. Especially when your girlfriend won't reply to your texts.
Relating to his own personal experiences, Nick Helm suggests not using your phone and instead doing one thing a day that scares you, saying yes to things and writing down texts on paper instead of texting them.
