Thursday 7th December 2006, 6:12am

Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse are to reunite for a new BBC sketch show, The Harry Enfield Show. The duo went their separate ways in the late 1990s with Whitehouse creating The Fast Show and Enfield jumping to Sky One, where a 2000 solo show flopped.

The announcement was made by BBC One controller Peter Fincham as he unveiled the channel's Winter/Spring 2007 season. This also includes three new shows which are the result of a comedy pilot scheme launched earlier this year with Lucy Lumsden, Controller Comedy Commissioning. "After You've Gone" is created by Fred Barron (My Family) and stars Nicholas Lyndhurst and Celia Imrie as a thoroughly incompatible son and mother-in-law forced into living together. Ronni Ancona returns to BBC One with a new series which takes a sideswipe at the celebrity masses through impressions and character sketches. She is joined by a different special impressionist guest for each show, including Jan Ravens and John Sessions. And Omid Djalili will debut with a self titled stand-up and sketch show.
