Ladettes continue to outpace Extras

The fifth episode of the second series of Extras pulled in 3.6 million viewers last night, slightly up on last week's total of 3.4 million. The show beat BBC1's Ancient Rome: the Rise and Fall of an Empire, which attracted 3.4 million, although ITV1's Ladette to Lady was the most popular programme in the 9 O'Clock timeslot with 4.7 million viewers.

Next week sees the last episode of Extras, with rumours of an appearance by Robert De Niro.
