Vic and Bob working on new sitcom
Vic Reeves has announced that he and comedy partner Bob Mortimer are working on a new sitcom.
Reeves told North-East newspaper The Journal: "It's about super heroes who get skills through a telegraph pole that malfunctions and they go around helping people in their local community."
Vic and Bob have worked in sitcoms before. Their first attempt was a surreal Channel 4 pilot called The Weekenders in 1992. In 2004, they created Catterick, a dark BBC Three sitcom about a man and his brother who go on a road trip to Catterick to find their estranged son.
Reeves also told the paper that he is keen to revive their most famous show, Shooting Stars, but claims that, "It depends on the BBC."
ITV2 are also currently working on a sitcom about superheroes. No Heroics follows four London-based off-duty superheroes as they struggle with love and fame. A full series is currently being filmed by Tiger Aspect.
