Public want Only Fools and Horses to return

According to a poll of 3,000 Britons conducted by Onepoll, the public have said that Only Fools and Horses would be the show they would most like to return.

The last episode of the popular sitcom was shown on Christmas Day 2003, in total it ran for 21 years. Only Fools and Horses was also voted the greatest sitcom by the British public in 2004.

The top three shows in the list were sitcoms. In second place was the American sitcom Friends, which ended in May 2004. And in third place was Fawlty Towers, which ran between 1975 and 1979. John Cleese's sitcom has previously been voted the greatest British sitcom by other comedians.

The rest of the top ten consisted of soap opera Brookside, Sex and the City, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Monty Python, The Krypton Factor, The Big Breakfast and another sitcom, Absolutely Fabulous.
