Still Game wins Scottish Bafta
Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill's sitcom Still Game won the audience award at the Scottish Baftas last night. It is the second year in a row that the comedy, which follows the rascally antics of pensioners Jack and Victor, has won the award.
Jane McCarry, who plays the busybody pensioner Isa in Still Game, was named best actress for her performances in the comedy.
Meanwhile Blowout beat Dear Green Place and Still Game to be named the best Scottish Comedy or Entertainment show of 2007. The sketch show, which is produced by Rab Christie, was recently piloted on Channel 4 as part of their Comedy Lab season.
Elsewhere at the Scottish Baftas The Last King of Scotland, a drama about Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, swept the board taking away best film, best screenplay and best actor (for James McAvoy) at last night's awards ceremony in Glasgow.
