Channel 4's November pilots confirmed

Channel 4 have now confirmed six of the pilots they commissioned earlier in the year are to be broadcast in November. The comedies will form part of the broadcaster's 25th anniversary celebrations and, if well received by the audience, will go on to be made into full series.

Ladies and Gentlemen: A TalkbackThames produced sitcom set in the Victorian era and described as being "a bit like Friends but set in 1865 in olde London town". Stars Reece Shearsmith, Nicholas Burns, Adam Buxton and Darren Boyd. Written by Peep Show writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong; Produced by Ash Atalla and directed by James Bobin.

Plus One: written by Life on Mars writers Tim Allsop and Stewart Williams. Described as "a British take on My Name Is Earl" the show stars Rory Kinnear as a man whose ex-girlfriend is getting married to Duncan James from Blue.

Other People: A Company Pictures pilot which stars Martin Freeman as a former teenage magic prodigy who has been reduced to stacking shelves.

Eejits: A Objective Productions sitcom pilot written by Paul Woodfall and Father Ted co-creator Arthur Mathews. Eejits is based around an Irish pub band. The executive producer is Phil Clarke (Peep Show).

Bitter and Twisted: A romantic sitcom. Created by Big Talk and Bwark Productions.
