Shameless graffiti competition launched
The fifth series of hit comedy-drama Shameless is now in production and to promote the show Channel 4 are offering fans a number of ways to get involved with the comedy between now and the show's broadcast next year.
Channel 4 is kicking things off this month with a unique competition - the chance to graffiti part of the Shameless set. They are asking fans to email in their graffiti designs and ideas between now and the 6th September. The winners will then be invited to the Chatsworth Estate set where they will be able to "graff up" a wall there, to be forever immortalised in the Shameless world.
Shameless stars Gerard Kearns and Elliott Tittensor introduce the competition in this video: Windows Media Player / Apple Quicktime
Channel 4 explain more: "Whether it's scratched, sprawled or sprayed we want to see what you've got. And don't worry if you're drawing talents are as limited as Frank's parenting skills, just use an easy Graffiti maker app online and we'll get someone to create it for you when you visit the set! We've even done most of the work for you and set up Shameless groups on Facebook and Bebo which each have their own Graff tools!"
"Make your tag famous overnight or sum up the streets today, but do us a favour and don't go making sexist, racist or political comments. Definitely no defacing of property and only send in work you have created – we don't like fakers!"
Anyone wishing to enter should send their design (as a jpeg) and their contact details to shamelessgraffiti@channel4.co.uk before the 6th September.
