Red Dwarf most popular sci-fi show of all time
Red Dwarf has been labeled the most popular science fiction television series of all time by readers of the Radio Times.
The British sitcom, which followed the adventures of the crew aboard a damaged mining spaceship, ran on the BBC for eight series between 1988 and 1999.
The 1981 six part comedy series The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy also made it into the final twenty.
It should be noted that the poll, which was conducted via the Radio Times' website, did not include hit sci-fi drama Doctor Who because it "usually wins every sci-fi and fantasy show poll going".
