Ruddy Hell! It's Harry and Paul, the new sketch show from Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse lost 600,000 viewers on Friday evening. Just 4.2 million (19% of the audience) tuned in for the second installment of the comedy at 9:30pm on BBC1. The show, which is Enfield's first sketch series for seven years, has been poorly received by both audiences and critics.

Have I Got News For You (which was guest hosted by Adrian Chiles from Match of the Day this week) also lost viewers. It was down 500,000 viewers to 5.6 million – however it should be noted HIGNFY still achieved a respectable 25% audience share and an extended repeat was shown on Saturday (at the time of writing highlights of the show can be downloaded from the BBC website).

Not all of the BBC's new comedies saw a dip in audience though - My Family, which is currently the Corporation's most popular sitcom, attracted an impressive 5.9 million viewers to BBC1 at 8:30pm (an increase of 100,000 on last week).

Peep Show, the highly praised cult Channel 4 sitcom (pictured), also added 100,000 viewers this week. The second episode of the fourth series was seen by 1.4 million viewers (if you missed the episode then, at the time of writing, you can download it free from 4oD).
