Ania Magliano and Adjani Salmon amongst Sky Arts Awards 2024 nominees
- Blindboyboatclub, Fern Brady and Julia Masli are nominated for Comedy in the Sky Arts Awards 2024
- The Times Breakthrough Award shortlist features, amongst others, stand-up Ania Magliano and Dreaming Whilst Black creator Adjani Salmon
- The results will be broadcast live on 17th September
The nominees have been announced for the inaugural Sky Arts Awards. The multi-discipline celebration builds on the legacy of the South Bank Awards, which ran since 1997.
The nominees in the Comedy category are:
Blindboyboatclub (for The Blindboy podcast)
Fern Brady (for her body of work)
Julia Masli (for live show ha ha ha ha ha ha ha)
Meanwhile The Times Breakthrough Award shortlist features, amongst others:
Ania Magliano (stand-up comedian, in Comedy category)
Adjani Salmon (Dreaming Whilst Black creator, in Television category)
The Sky Arts Awards will take place at The Roundhouse on 17th September, and will be broadcast live on Sky Arts.

Nominations are also open for brand new category, the Arts Hero Award, dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the arts possible. The organisers explain: "From sound engineers and lighting technicians, to security and housekeeping, this award recognises the invaluable contributions of all of those at the heart of the culture scene".
