Big Boys, Derry Girls, Jordan Gray, Leo Reich up for South Bank Awards

The nominees have been announced for the 2023 South Bank Sky Arts Awards. The comedy category in the long-running multi-disciplinary culture-based awards features:

Meanwhile, the comedy spot in The Times Breakthrough Award category has gone to stand-up Leo Reich. He is up against Leo Woodall (TV Drama), Louise Kennedy (Literature), Freddie De Tommaso (Opera), Sophie Kauer (Classical), Rana Begum (Visual Art), Musa Motha (Dance), Rosie Sheehy (Theatre), Raine Allen-Miller (Film) and Jockstrap (Pop).

The results will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday 2nd July, with highlights then televised on Sky Arts on Wednesday 5th July.

Host Melvyn Bragg says: "For our 27th South Bank Sky Arts Awards, we once more celebrate the artistic excellence that our country has to offer, across the entire spectrum of the arts. As reflected in the nominations, the British Arts are thriving and continue to shape our cultural landscape."
