The Writers' Guild of Great Britain has announced the shortlists for its annual awards.
The comedy-related nominations are as follows:

David Quantick for Whatever Happened To Baby Jane Austen?
Best Online Comedy
Kieran Murphy for Hostage Negotiation
Eleanor Morton for Mary Shelley Writes Frankenstein
Michael Spicer for The Room Next Door - Boris Johnson Resignation Speech
Elsewhere in the list of nominations, Adam Kay is nominated in the Best Long Form TV Drama category for his scripts for This Is Going To Hurt and Rhys Thomas and Lucy Montgomery are up for Best Children's TV Episode for Episode 9 of Dodger.
The Best First Screenplay category features Reggie Yates for Pirates and Richard Bean and Clive Coleman for The Duke.
The winners will be announced on Monday 16th January 2023, in a ceremony hosted by Rachel Parris.
