Stand-up comedian Lee Evans will make history later this month, as his latest live show, Roadrunner, is screened in 3D at 69 Vue Cinemas across the country, for one night only.

Roadrunner was filmed last month at the super-sized O2 venue, during a sell-out 6 night run at the south-east London arena. The 90-minute special will be shown in cinemas on Sunday 27th November.

The company says: "This ground-breaking world first will provide the ultimate Lee Evans experience to cinema goers, perfectly encompassing his spectacular stage show and showing off all his physical hilarity - all in incredible 3D."

The 69 Vue cinemas set to screen the show on Sunday 27th are: Aberdeen, Accrington, Acton, Basingstoke, Birkenhead, Birmingham, Blackburn, Bolton, Bristol Cribbs, Bristol Longwell, Bury, Camberley, Cambridge, Cardiff, Carlisle, Cheshire Oaks, Cleveleys, Croydon Grants, Croydon Purley Way, Cwmbran, Dagenham, Doncaster, Dublin, Eastleigh, Edinburgh Omni, Edinburgh Ocean, Exeter, Finchley, Finchley Road, Fulham, Hamiton, Harrow, Hartlepool, Hull, Inverness, Islington, Lancaster, Leicester, Leeds Kirkstall, Leeds Light, Livingston, Manchester, Merthyr Tydfil, Newbury, Newcastle-U-Lyme, Northampton, Norwich, Oxford, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Preston, Reading, Romford, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Shepherds Bush, Southport, Staines, Stirling, Stratford, Swansea, Thanet, Watford, West End, West Thurrock, Westfield, Wood Green, Worcester and York.

Tickets for the special one-night event are available now, and demand is expected to be high: first day sales for Roadrunner saw the show become the fastest selling comedy tour ever, with 227,424 seats booked. By the end of the 67 date tour, Evans will have performed on 16 arena stages across the country, to a sell-out 600,000 people.

The DVD and Blu-ray editions of Roadrunner will be released on Monday 21st November, with a 3D Blu-ray edition - another British comedy first - out on the 28th, which also includes standard 2D Blu-ray and DVD copies of the show.

The DVD release follows the comedian's autobiography, Life Of Lee, which has been number one on the Sunday Times bestseller list for four consecutive weeks.
