Pozzitive Productions launch new website
Pozzitive, the production company founded by multi award-winning comedy directors David Tyler and Geoff Posner, has just launched a major new website. Compiled using material from their sketch shows, sitcoms and programmes spanning 20 years, www.pozzitive.co.uk offers revealing stories about many famous comedians, including the true story of why rehearsing an Alan Partridge sketch with Noel Gallagher proved unexpectedly difficult; and why Paul Merton pelted his co-writer with forty large haddock.
The website also features over 570 rare photos including never-before-seen shots of comedians like Simon Pegg, Robbie Coltrane and Jack Dee; exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from various shows; extracts from untransmitted pilots; and full details on over 70 Pozzitive Productions shows. Additionally, as part of the re-launch, the company has released, for the first time, 170 episodes of their radio shows onto iTunes, Amazon and Audible.
Tyler, who set up Pozzitive with Posner in 1992, and has written much of the information on the new site, says: "We're excited about the way comedy can be used to engage and interact with the public online. We've been fortunate to have worked on some of the most important shows in British comedy history and, over the years, we've collected a vast amount of exclusive show material which we decided to put online for the world to enjoy. Much of this information will never have been released before let alone collated in one place."
To view the website visit www.pozzitive.co.uk. Pozzitive's next series to arrive on the radio will be the 2009 series of Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive; and the much anticipated second series of John Finnemore's airline sitcom Cabin Pressure.
