2011 BAFTA nominations revealed
The nominations for this year's British Academy Television Awards (BAFTAs) have been announced, with Catherine Tate's Little Cracker, Come Fly With Me, Facejacker and Harry & Paul in the running in the comedy programme category. Meanwhile there are some raised eyebrows in the industry as Mrs Brown's Boys (pictured) - the sitcom heavily criticised by reviewers - has been nominated alongside Peep Show, Rev and The Trip for the best sitcom award.
E4 comedy drama Misfits is the main comedy frontrunner, with four award nominations: 'Best Supporting Actor' for Robert Sheehan, who incidently has announced he is leaving the show; 'Best Supporting Actress' for Lauren Socha, who plays Kelly; plus 'Best Drama Series'; and 'Best New Media'.
Other shows with more than one nomination include Eric and Ernie ('Leading Actor' and 'Single Drama'), The Graham Norton Show ('Best Entertainment Performance' and 'Best Entertainment Programme'), and Miranda ('Best Female Performance in a Comedy Role' and 'The YouTube Audience Award').
