The winners of the Children's BAFTAs 2018 have been announced.

So Awkward, a CBBC sitcom about three bright school girls, won in the Comedy category. It was shortlisted alongside The Amazing World Of Gumball, the David Walliams one-off comedy drama Grandpa's Great Escape, and sketch show Horrible Histories.

The fourth series of So Awkward has just finished on television, with a fifth series already commissioned for broadcast in 2019. The sitcom's creator Julie Bower recently spoke on the Sitcom Geeks podcast about working on the format.
