Victoria Wood's stand-up comeback to be aired on Sky
Sky is to air Victoria Wood presents The Angina Monologues in which, for the first time in nearly 10 years, Victoria Wood will be taking to the stage to peform stand-up. She will lead a night of laughter to help raise awareness of heart disease in women.
The show, which forms part of a heart health campaign by the British Heart Foundation, will also include performances from Jo Brand, Katy Brand, Andi Osho, Isy Suttie, Vicki Pepperdine, Joanna Scanlan, Ria Jones & Roisin Conaty.
The event takes place on Sunday 5th December at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket and will be broadcast on Sky1 HD on Monday 20th December.
Speaking about her involvement in the British Heart Foundation campaign, Victoria Wood said: "Like most women, I thought heart disease was something that only affected men, like nose hair and not washing big dirty pans. We need to spread the word. The Angina Monologues will bring together our most fantastically funny women for a night of stand-up, sketches and music. We all need a bit of hearty laughter."
