Loaded Laftas

The results of the LAFTAS, which have been running for eight years now, are decided by a public vote. Comedy fans can vote for their favourites by logging onto loaded.co.uk before Monday 24th January 2011.

The awards ceremony will take place at the prestigious BAFTA venue on Tuesday 1st February 2011. Loaded Editor Andy Sherwood says: "Loaded's LAFTAS with Yazoo puts the 'Great' into Great British Comedy. It's a date in the diary Britain's funniest comics never miss, and this year's awards are the biggest and best we've hosted yet."

In partnership with Jongleurs and YAZOO, Loaded has also launched 'Search for a Star' - an X-Factor style competition seeking out comedy's next 'Rising Star' through a series of cross-country heats. The winner of the competition will attend the Loaded LAFTAS ceremony, where they will be presented with the 'Rising Star' award, pick up a £500 cash prize and a laptop. They'll also get to appear in the next edition of computer game The Sims.
