Stand-up comedians Stuart Goldsmith and Rhod Gilbert are to host a new comedy show pilot.
Everyone's A Comedian will see "some of the country's top stand-ups perform material written by the great British public in a bid to prove everyone's a comedian".
A run-through is due to be hosted at The Tabernacle venue in London on the 6th March. Tickets are now available.
The format is believed to be in development for television but that has not been confirmed, nor is it known which broadcaster it is aimed at, or which guest comedians will be performing. Details are expected to be revealed in due course.
Stuart Goldsmith, who hosts popular interview format The Comedian's Comedian Podcast, first tried out the idea of letting comedy fans write routines at the Edinburgh Fringe in August. The one-off show was described as "a crowd-sourced hour of comedy, submitted by listeners, collated by a friend and performed with no preparation".
Rhod Gilbert, who is planning to return to stand-up, recently hosted a BBC documentary on shyness. Meanwhile Goldsmith[ is currently on tour with his latest stand-up show, Like I Mean It. He spoke to British Comedy Guide earlier in the month about developing his career and the logistics of touring. Interview
