Coming Of Age

The bawdy teen sitcom returns for a second series. Highlights of the new series include Ollie falling for the new French teacher, DK falling for the principal (Ellen Thomas) and Jas falling for a total stranger in a short-lived relationship that threatens to tear the group apart.

The series features special guest appearances from Miriam Margolyes, Stephen K Amos, Dave Lamb and Geraldine McNulty.

Lee Nelson's Well Good Show

Simon Brodkin, previously seen in brings Al Murray's Multiple Personality Disorder, brings his critically-acclaimed characters to BBC Three via a studio-based sketch show.

In between the studio-based madness hosted by his chav character Lee Nelson, Brodkin introduces clips starring his other comic creations (all played by himself). There's preening premiership footballer Jason Bent, shameless holiday rep Chris Young, bungling medic Dr Omprakash, and trustafarian activist Hugo Victor-Grant, aka H-Bomb.

Young, Lazy And Unemployed

Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani star in this subtle sitcom written by Stefan Golaszweski from sketch group Cowards.

The comedy, set entirely within a bedroom, sees Russell Tovey plays Steve, a laddish man with no desire to seek employment, in this comedy about what really goes on behind the bedroom doors of today's 20-somethings.

We Are Mongrels

Described as "playfully adult like Family Guy, but not crude", this new puppet-based comedy, tells the tale of four urban animals who hang out together in the bin yard of an inner-city pub.

Scratch the furry surface and Nelson, the metrosexual fox; Destiny, the pretentious pedigree It-bitch; Marion, the abandoned street cat; and Kali, the deeply cynical pigeon, are kidults struggling with the everyday drama of life in the back-alleys of the urban jungle.

The King Is Dead

Described as "part spoof job interview, part chat show, part panel show and part character comedy", this new panel show from TalkbackThames stars Simon Bird and Nick Mohammed.

Each week, a well-known public figure is hypothetically bumped off and thus a comic interview panel led by Simon Bird scours the Great British celebrity pool for a top notch replacement. Three celebrities compete in the unique and vigorous interview process in a bid to prove that they are the best applicant for the job.

The Gemma Factor

New sitcom set in Yorkshire starring newcomer Anna Gilthorpe as Gemma, a girl only one ambition – to be famous by the time she's 21. Living in a tiny backwater, Gemma dreams of escaping to the Big Smoke for the bright lights and all its trappings – soon.

Supporting her in her dream are her high-camp friend Jeff and her more grounded workmate, Nell. But Gemma lives with her no-nonsense Nan, who has absolutely no understanding of her all-consuming aspiration.

Ideal

The hit sitcom returns for a 6th series. There have been a few changes in Salford since we last saw Moz and Co. After fleeing the UK in order to avoid a possible prison sentence, Moz and Jenny travelled to several different countries – although Jenny doesn't seem to remember which ones. When they turn up on the doorstep, it isn't quite the homecoming they'd hoped for.

For a start, PC, the police constable, has taken up residence in Moz's old flat, with his ex-girlfriend Nicki. Not only that, but with PC bringing home all the weed he's confiscated, Nicki is now dealing to Moz's original circle of clients and has seriously boosted profits.

Series One was a bit hit for the channel, so it's no surprise to hear Russell Howard is returning to BBC Three this Spring with a second helping of his topical news show.

Each week, Russell scours the media looking for the big stories dominating the news and offering his own unique perspective. Russell will also, once again, be picking out those overlooked little news nuggets that make him smile

BBC Three controller Danny Cohen has also ordered three comedy drama pilots, with ambitions for one to go to a full series. They will include Dappers, a 30-minute comedy about two young mothers living in housing association flats in a well-to-do area of Bristol.
