Loaded Laftas 2013

The nominees for the Loaded LAFTAS 2013 have been announced. The awards, organised by the lads' mag with winners decided by visitors to the magazine's website, are now in their 10th year.

The magazine says: "This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever before! With a bumper crop of 16 nominations, the 10th shortlist recognises the top comedic talent from the last year, across all genres. In the spirit of tradition, this year's nominations span the entire cross section of showbusiness society, taking in the good, the tanned and the ugly."

Some awards, such as Funniest Columnist, and nominations for the likes of Gary Barlow, are clearly aimed at generating newspaper coverage for the brand, but there are a number of categories focussed on broadcast British comedy.

Notably James Corden and Jack Whitehall have been nominated for their controversial double-act partnership on The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year; and Keith Lemon: The Film is in the running in the funniest movie category, despite having been panned by critics and viewers.
