Michael McIntyre announces 2015 arena tour
Michael McIntyre has announced a 2015 tour of UK and Ireland.
Titled Happy & Glorious, it is being billed as 'his biggest and funniest tour yet'.
Kicking off in September 2015 and running through to December, Happy & Glorious will see the comedian play multiple dates at arenas in Cardiff, Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Liverpool and Leeds. If, as expected, the 39 shows sell out, further dates may be added too.
Circuit veteran Paul Tonkinson has been named as the support stand-up.
Happy & Glorious has the potential to become a record breaking show. McIntyre's previous show - Showtime - was the biggest selling comedy tour in the world in 2012. The comedian played to over 640,000 people on that tour, which included a record-breaking ten-night residency at London's O2 Arena. The DVD of the show went on to become #1 in the Christmas sales charts. His previous show, Hello Wembley, became the fastest-selling UK stand-up DVD of all time in 2009, a record he still holds.
