Jonathan Pie live tour adds more dates

Tom Walker

Jonathan Pie, the online star whose viral videos have been seen across the world, has announced a show at the world famous London Palladium, taking place on Saturday 4th March 2017. It is one of a number of dates that have been added to his live tour following strong ticket sales.

Pie is a creation of actor Tom Walker, who explains: "As a news reporter, Jonathan Pie is good at his job. It's just that between takes he can't help but offer his opinion of the news he's been trying to report... and his opinions often boil over into outright rage!"

Last week, Pie took the world by storm with his latest video (embedded below). The video, in which he explains why Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton to be elected as US President, quickly went viral. At the time of writing, it has amassed over 110 million views across platforms including Facebook and YouTube.

Jonathan Pie: Live expands on the premise of the character's weekly videos, with the show becoming "an hour of political spleen venting. In one moment hilarious, in the next thought provoking and in the next down right exhausting!"

The show played a sold out run at the Edinburgh Festival this year and is now selling out theatres on a tour across the country. Due to strong demand, extra dates have also been added in Spring 2017.

Tickets for all dates are now on sale from Ticketmaster

Jonathan Pie is quite a success story for Tom Walker. A year ago, as an out of work actor on the cusp of giving up the profession, he decided to film some 3 minute videos about an angry news reporter character that he had been developing in his head for several years. 3 weeks later, one of the clips went viral, with many people believing they were watching a real reporter ranting. Since then, he has released his weekly videos which each regularly amass over a million views.
