Ealing Comedy Festival announces top line-up for 25th year
Ealing Comedy Festival 2018 is set to feature a number of top stand-up stars.
The West-London festival, which is now in its 25th year, will run from the 19th to 27th July in Walpole Park.
The organisers confirm: "Ealing Comedy Festival is back for its 25th consecutive year with a stellar line up of internationally renowned comedians and homegrown talent to keep you entertained throughout July."
Ealing is a great festival to attend, as you can see a number of top comedians on the same stage in one night.
The opening line-up on Thursday 19th July includes one-liner expert Milton Jones, the super cool Reginald D Hunter and Paul Zerdin, the British ventriloquist who won America's Got Talent.
The evening on Friday 20th July looks just as strong, with The Mash Report star Nish Kumar, the reliably funny Tom Stade and former Ealing resident Shappi Khorsandi all booked to perform sets.
Josh Widdicombe is set to headline the show on Wednesday 25th, with support from up-and-coming comedian Jake Lambert, the unique Phil Jerrod and host Joanne McNally.
To celebrate the 25th year of the comedy festival, two gala evenings are also being staged this year. The shows on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th July will feature comics who have performed throughout the festival's rich history. There's too many names to mention the full line-up here, but both shows are stuffed with great names.
Stephen K Amos will host both the galas, with Jo Caulfield, Ricky Grover, Nathan Caton, Paul Sinha, Phil Nichol, Lucy Porter and [pp]Jo Enrightp] amongst the names appearing on the two bills. There'll also be character comedy from Simon Brodkin and visual humour from Men In Coats.
Gates open at 6:30pm each night, with the shows themselves running between 7:45pm and 10:30pm.
The festival, which has been developed in partnership with Ealing Council, has more names still to add to the line-ups too. For the latest updates see @Ealing_Summer
