Coronavirus lockdown is costing comedy industry millions

A survey of the comedy industry has revealed that the coronavirus lockdown has cost venues, promoters and comedians millions of pounds. Over a third of responders said they will have to reconsider working in comedy if lockdown continues for another three months or more.
Edinburgh Fringe festival 2020 cancelled

Police raid empty comedy club over live stream mix-up

Police officers arrived at Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool in force on Saturday night after a member of the public tipped them off that it was live streaming a gig on YouTube despite the coronavirus lockdown... however, Merseyside Police discovered the club empty - it was a repeat broadcast of a gig filmed three weeks ago.
