Comedian and historian Paul Coulter has announced a debut tour for his hit Fringe show, 5 Mistakes That Changed History.

Kicking off at Hever Castle on 1st June, the tour will take in a further 52 dates including a return to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August. Alongside this, the tour will also see the release of Paul's debut book. 10 Mistakes That Changed History will hit the shelves in June.

5 Mistakes That Changed History

The blurb explains: "Blending sharp comedy with fascinating storytelling, 5 Mistakes That Changed History explores the pivotal moments where human error altered the course of the world. Whether it's a misplaced letter, a disastrous miscalculation, or an ill-advised love affair, Coulter delves into the missteps of the past with wit, charm, and a historian's eye for detail."

Originally from Dorset, Coulter studied history at University College London. He began performing improv comedy in Australia over a decade ago, quickly gigging multiple times a week, and has since produced his own shows. He first brought 5 Mistakes That Changed History to Edinburgh in 2023, and on its return in 2024 it became one of the best-reviewed shows at the festival.

He says: "I am thrilled to take 5 Mistakes That Changed History on its first nationwide tour! It's been huge fun to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe and I can't wait to share it with history lovers and comedy fans around the UK. We all make mistakes but writing this show was certainly not one of them!"
