Connor Burns announces 1994 international tour
Fast rising Scottish comedy star Connor Burns is taking his latest stand-up hour, 1994, on the road for an international tour, with extra performances still being added.
Following on from an extremely successful 2022 Fringe, his reputation as "one to watch" was cemented at the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe when he sold out his entire run in barely a week. This year, with new show 1994 selling out similarly quickly, he has added extra shows to his run at the festival, selling close to 8,000 tickets this month.
After a brief run of dates in the autumn, he will perform 30 nights across Europe with the award-nominated show later this year, return for a UK leg of the tour from January to March, then continue the show in Australia.
1994 sees Connor pose the question "was everything better really back in the day?" Stemming from looking back at his parents' generation and what the world was like for them growing up, he explores how pop culture began in the 1950s and how it has continued to warp our minds of the last 75 years.
His 2023 show Vertigo was recently recorded for an upcoming streaming release.
