Alistair Williams has won the British Comedian Of The Year competition.
The stand-up triumphed at the live final which took place last night (29th November) at The Comedy Store in London.
The result was based on audience voting, with Nick Everritt coming second and Maureen Younger third.
Unlike most stand-up competitions, the British Comedian Of The Year contest - which organisers describe as "the FA Cup of Comedy" - is open to comedian of all levels. Notably, it has one of the biggest prizes in comedy, with £10,001 - £1 more than the Edinburgh Comedy Awards main prize - available to the winner.
