Hayley Ellis wins double at North West Comedy Awards
- Winners have been announced in the North West Comedy Awards for 2023
- Hayley Ellis's Invisible Mam won Best Solo Show, whilst she was also named Best MC
- Nina Gilligan is Best Act, Josh Jones Best TV Act, and Frog & Bucket Best Comedy Club
Winners for the 2023 North West Comedy Awards were announced last night, in a ceremony at Manchester's famous Frog & Bucket comedy club.
Comedian Hayley Ellis (pictured) lead the prize-winners, picking up the top placing in two categories: Best MC, and Best Solo Show, for Invisible Mam.
Josh Jones, meanwhile, won Best TV Act, and the Frog & Bucket itself was named Best Comedy Club.
The annual awards are voted on by comedians and those working in the industry within the north west of England.
