Jeff Japers wins Musical Comedy Awards 2022

Jeff Japers has won the Musical Comedy Awards 2022.

Originally from Glossop in the North of England, Japers moved to Pontypridd in South Wales in 1992. He's been performing musical comedy for over 20 years. The set he performed at the final included a song about the M4 motorway, and a musical number about the Royal Family.

The Sugarcoated Sisters were named Best Newcomers. The final was the TikTok stars' third live gig.

The Musical Comedy Awards, which are sponsored by WeGotTickets, have been running since 2009.

This year's final - which was hosted by Nick Horseman and included a headline set by Sooz Kempner - also featured Abigail Carter-Simpson, Amy Webber, Chris Timoney, Joseph Emslie, Kayleigh Jones, Kit Sullivan, Nikola McMurtrie and Orlando Gibbs.

The Musical Comedy Awards 2023 final will take place on 31st March with Rachel Parris as headliner.
