Christy Coysh wins Musical Comedy Awards 2021

Christy Coysh was selected by judges as the winner of the Musical Comedy Awards 2021, at a live final at London's Bloomsbury Theatre on Saturday night (23rd October).
Coysh's biography describes himself as "a musical comedian who takes rap and pop music and twists it to fit his simpleton ways. He can usually be seen with his trusty loop pedal which his dad likes to remind him 'is not a real instrument'."

Flat & The Curves - a group comprising of Charlotte Brooke, Issy Wroe Wright, Katy Baker and Arabella Rodrigo - took second place.

Orlando Gibbs was third.

Meanwhile David Hoare won the audience favourite award.

As previously announced, Plastic Jeezus picked up the Best Newcomers title.
The Musical Comedy Awards, which are sponsored by WeGotTickets, have been running since 2009.
This year's final, which was hosted by Josh Weller and included a headline set by Mawaan Rizwan, also featured DING, Ed MacArthur, Edy Hurst, Hel MacCormack, Rhiannon Hopkins and Simon David.
