Comic Relief has today announced its own new monthly comedy night.
Comic Relief Comedy Club will be a monthly mixed-bill comedy night held on the third Tuesday of every month (except December) at The Albany pub in Central London.
At the top of Great Portland Street in Fitzrovia, the venue will play host to the new club's first night next week, Tuesday 22nd October, at 7:30pm.
The charity says that the club "will showcase a selection of the UK's most exciting comedy talent and provide a space where audiences can laugh their way to helping good causes around the world".
October's debut line-up is set to comprise of Ahir Shah, Lucy Pearman, Chloe Petts, Giants, Travis Jay and MC Joe Sutherland.
The launch of the club follows the success of the charity's recent live comedy shows, including this year's Comic Relief Spectacular at the Wembley Arena, which featured top comedians including Rob Beckett, Katherine Ryan, Alan Carr, Sir Lenny Henry, Russell Howard, Romesh Ranganathan, John Bishop, Jimmy Carr and others.
Tickets cost £6 each plus booking fee and can be purchased from TicketSource. Profits will be donated to Comic Relief, helping fund organisations in the UK and around the world.
